Beef & Turkey Bean Chili

Ingredients
1.5 lbs ground turkey
1 lb ground sirloin

1 large onion, diced
1 large orange pepper, diced
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 jalepeno, minced

1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon paprika
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablspoons oregano
1.5 tablespoon cumin
9 oz tomato paste
1 large can diced tomatoes

1 large can red kidney beans, rinsed & drained
1 can white kidney beans, rinsed & drained
1 can black beans, rinsed & drained

sea salt & pepper, to taste
1 quart of chicken broth
additional water

Directions
In a large skillet, brown the meat.  Add onions, pepper, and garlic.  Cook until onions are translucent.  Add seasonings.  Mix.  Put mixture in a large pot or large crockpot.  Add tomato paste & diced tomatoes.  Stir.  Add all the beans.  Add chicken broth.  If desired, add salt & pepper to taste.  Bring to a low boil and let boil for 15-20 min.  Simmer for at least an hour.  I typically use a crockpot and have it on high for about 2 hours.  It takes awhile before it actually boils.  Then, I reduce to low for another 2-3 hrs.
