5 GRATITUDES (Thank you, Heavenly Papa!):
  • Thank you God for a safe trip to our destination.
  • Thank you God I did not puke in the car (or at all) because of the motion sickness I was having.
  • Thank you God for technology.
  • Thank you God for weather that is not much colder than where we live.
  • Thank you God for time with my family, mom and brother & his family.
THOUGHTS:
  • Today I got to learn how secure Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro is.  My son had locked me out of my account because I cannot remember what my password is.  Not a good thing, but the day after I setup my laptop, I set it up to login with a PIN and that's what I've been using.  Plus, I recently changed my password around the time I got my new laptop and cannot remember it.  We went in through a backdoor and looked all around.  My husband is a software developer, but he also knows administration and hardware stuff and after hours of trying to figure this out to see if we could change the password and things not syncing, and even 2-3 hrs with Microsoft Premium Technical Support, this issue hasn't been resolved.

Thankfully when I setup the computer, I put my husband and kids as users, however, also they can access their accounts on my computer, my account has the software and access to my subcontracting work and their's do not have the access.  Thus, I was going to work to/from the drive to our destination, but somehow I was getting motion sickness doing this and wasn't able to.  Plus, the new laptop's keyboard is not recessed into the laptop like my old Sony Vaio, so when I use my wireless keyboard and set it on my laptop to work, it presses the keys.  Arrgh.

Love my new laptop and grateful for it, but these are just some of the differences I have to get used to and work around.  Will need to call the company and let them know that I cannot access my work on Monday and that I will be late unless I can resolve the issue.

In the future, the kids are not allowed to access my account.  I don't know why I didn't tell him to log in to his account.  All this newness.  I guess it's because I never let them get on my Vaio at home or anywhere.
  • We made it to our destination pretty quickly, by almost an hour faster than normal with a new route.  Yay!
  • Glad to be able to sleep in a bed.
  • Glad to help my mom out with trimming two of the palm trees in the corners of her backyard for her.  She definitely could not do this herself as it took both my husband and I to cut many of the branches.  It looks much neater and glad we could do it for it.  The thorns are huge and long and hurt if you accidentally get poked by them.  We will be cutting them down and placing them on her curbside for pickup on Sunday.
  • My cough has not been good today, but I did not take any cough syrup, but I have had many cough drops.
  • I will not be updating this blog on Sunday or Monday, rather Tuesday.  See you then.

I came across your blog.. I'm impressed with the fat % loss. What were you eating during that time?? that's amazing!

Thanks.

What am I eating now? I basically eat whatever I want, but I am careful usually about portions. I rarely eat 6 meals a day and usually just stick with 3 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and I do my best to eat around the same time for each meal.

I used to be Paleo in 2012 for about 1/2 the year, but when I fell off the wagon, I regained it all back, or most of it.

Now, I allow myself to eat anything I want, but try to limit social eating (as I tend to over eat at these times), not get seconds at meals, and just really about portion control.

You can lose weight without exercising, but adding exercise really helps with fat % loss.

Portion control has been the one thing that I can do, while still eating the foods I enjoy.

I haven't had time to post my recipes of things, but I do share some photos and things on my Facebook page. Just click on the FB button just above "Search This Blog" in the right column.

Usually I do post what I eat and approximately how much, but this past weekend, I was out of town and didn't have good self control.

You can browse through my days and see what I eat.

Thanks for commenting.
