NAMES OF GOD STUDY - Wk 2

The God of Might (’El Shaddai)

  • I still haven't started.  Guess I will be a week behind.
THOUGHTS:
  • Got to share a meal with a few friends and it was nice.  MW brought her 4 string guitar and we got to listen to her play some.  Enjoyed good Colombian food cooked by my husband.
  • Our next door neighbor accused our son and our adult friend that came over over shooting BBs at their door and shooting out there light.  They brought over the BBs and showed us, which we don't have those kind of BBs.  But, just because DB and our son were shooting the BB rifle, the automatically blamed him.  The kids first took it as a threat and then they came over 2 times after that to talk to my husband and I.  We showed them the BBs that our son owned, which he has only one kind - gray ones.  The BBs they showed us were pink, yellow, white and some other colors.  But they were insistent on blaming our son and we would not accept responsibility for it.  They said our son was shooting BBs from our backyard and possibly from the green belt behind our house.

Our kids NEVER play in the backyard and we are 100 percent positive of that.  That's my dad's area and it's not in a condition to play in.  Secondly, we don't allow our children to go to the green belt behind our house to play because it's too close to the major road where people drive super fast.  Thirdly, the kids are always supervised by an adult when playing outside.  Fourthly, our kids and the kids that they play with in the neighborhood would not vandalize property nor harm animals.

The neighbors next door are fairly new within the past couple months.  In the 4 yrs we've lived here or so, there have been 3 different neighbors in that house.  It wasn't our son vandalizing their property and if they come over one more time to accuse my son or our kids, we will call the cops on them for harassing us.  They have absolutely no proof and a kid shooting a BB gun on our property (our son) does not make him guilty.  Even after we showed them that the BBs they have do not match ours, that wasn't enough.

Also, our son's BB gun is spring loaded and doesn't have the power to shoot that far or to break anything.  It was some other person's BB that can go the distance and have the force.  Our son knows better than to disrespect other people's property or harm animals.  This was the only downer point of our day.
