I John 3 - Condemnation

I'm not going to display the whole passage here, rather I'll just provide the link - I John 3.

In verses 18-22, it states:

18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
19 This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: 20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22 and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
Often and through much of my childhood, though I asked Jesus to be my Savior at an early age, I felt condemned.  Actually, even in much of my adulthood, I have also felt condemned.  But, as a child of God, the Lord says that once before we knew Him, we were condemned, but when we placed our lives and trust in Jesus, receiving Him as our Savior, when God sees us, He sees us through His Son Jesus Christ and we are no longer condemned.

So, the condemnation that I felt is not from God, rather me listening to the wrong person - Satan.  If you know Jesus Christ as your Savior, you can through Jesus' Name command Satan or his demons or those voices that tell you you are condemned (in any manner - this could be, you are a failure, you are a loser, you can't do anything right, you make bad choices, etc), you can tell them to go away.

Seriously, it is very challenging to live a peaceful, abundant life where you are thriving and growing when you are constantly being dragged down by the poisonous voice of condemnation.

Whom do you choose to listen to today?  It's your choice.

This is always my biggest issue. Condemning myself over my past and present choices and mistakes. I really need to start getting in the word more so that I can heal.
